BECOMING PASSOVER PEOPLE
This first message of the Passover series looks at the original Passover event as the climax of the story of the Exodus. God has always been about the business of bringing people out of the world of Pharaoh and into a world of trust and provision.
Shortly after the Israelites enter the Promised Land, we stop reading about them observing Passover and start reading about their descent into anarchy. A later king would try to reinvigorate the feast, and in exile Passover becomes an expression of hope for a new Exodus.
PASSOVER AND THE LORD'S SUPPER
Jesus celebrated Passover with his disciples just prior to his execution, but he reinterprets the meal around himself.
