REOPENING STRATEGY

We will be reopening our doors in three phases. You can learn more about each phase below. Please note that this plan is subject to change.

PHASE 1

Phase 1 begins Sunday, May 31, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.

  • If you or someone in your home are feeling sick, please worship at home.

  • You can still attend over Zoom by clicking the "Worship Online" button at the top of this page.

  • We will have seating for 50 people that observes the 6-foot rule.

  • Please wear face masks. If you do not own a face mask, one will be provided to you.

  • We will practice communion with sealed communion cups.

  • We will be singing but will not be using hymnals.

  • There will still be no Bible classes, small groups, or nursery.

  • There will be no coffee or refreshments provided.

  • We will not be having potlucks.

PHASE 2

Phase 2 begins when Colorado moves from the "Safer at Home" to the "Protect Our Neighbors" protocol.

Changes from Phase 1 include:

  • We will begin offering Sunday School for adults. Anyone attending worship via Zoom will be able to attend Sunday School as well.

  • Face masks and the 6-foot rule will only be enforced if Colorado Public Health continues to ask it of us.

  • Refreshments will be offered.

  • In lieu of potluck, the church will host a dinner at nearby Chipeta Park. Food will be prepared in keeping with local food safety guidelines. No carry-in food.

As in Phase 1, we will continue the following practices:

  • If you or someone in your home are feeling sick, please worship at home.

  • You can attend over Zoom by clicking the "Worship Online" button at the top of this page.

  • Socially-distanced seating for 50 people.

  • Sealed communion cups.

  • No hymnals.

PHASE 3

Phase 3 begins when (1) Chaffee County allows groups up to 100, AND (2) the 6-foot rule is no longer encouraged by Colorado Public Health.

Changes from Phase 2 include:

  • We will begin offering Sunday School for children and teens. However, only the adult class will be available over Zoom.

  • The 6-foot rule will no longer be practiced, but we may still ask for you to wear a face mask.

  • Seating in the auditorium will go back to normal.

  • We will resume the use of hymnals.

  • We will still not pass communion or offering trays, but we will practice communion with open cups.

As in the previous two Phases, if you or someone in your home as feeling sick, please worship at home. You can attend over Zoom by clicking the "Worship Online" button at the top of this page.
